Mark co-founded Monerex to create a digital asset management and payment solution that could connect conventional finance with the crypto-verse. His vision is to make financial services more accessible and efficient through technology.
Mark’s background includes IT & database consulting for the US Department of Defense, extending into hedge fund management and commodities trading. His entry into the cryptocurrency world in 2015 was driven by a recognition of the potential for blockchain and Web3 technologies to modernize traditional financial systems.
Residing in Tulum, amongst sacred Mayan lands, Mark is interested in studying indigenous and ancient wisdom to support self-development and improve contemporary society. His leadership at Monerex reflects a commitment to financial innovation that is both responsible and inclusive.
Garrett Wood

Garrett Wood is a founder, entrepreneur and early adopter, who has been a passionate advocate of crypto since its inception.
As Chief Business Development Officer at Monerex, Garrett Wood leverages his extensive background in finance and entrepreneurship to spearhead strategic partnerships and drive the company’s expansion. Originally from Chicago, Garrett has a background in corporate finance and is the founder of Gina Health, a cutting-edge liposomal supplement company born in California.

A resident of Tulum, Axel, through his firm Mayan Zero—a business consulting and legal strategy powerhouse—has emerged as a community business leader instrumental in facilitating foreign investment and strategic business planning, significantly contributing to the current economic boom in Tulum. His experience in launching crypto exchanges in Mexico, coupled with successfully navigating the regulatory landscape and working closely with the CNBV, positions him as a pivotal figure in Monerex’s mission to transform digital asset management and payment solutions. Axel’s innovative financial leadership ensures Monerex’s robust financial health and supports its ambitious growth targets.
Roman Vinogradov
Chief Technology Officer
As a tech visionary, an innovator, and a blockchain engineer, Roman specializes in combining the best technology in the most efficient way. Founder of a web3 development team, DeFi projects, and trading tools, Roman has been a blockchain developer since 2013, focusing on building exchange engines, trading automation, smart contracts, and AI. He serves as a technical advisor for blockchain startups and companies, and is an educator and speaker on the topics of blockchain, web3, and DeFi. Roman excels at leading development teams, identifying and setting up the right processes to ensure efficiency.
In his role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Monerex, Roman applies his deep expertise to drive the technological strategy and development of our digital asset management platform and payment solutions. His leadership ensures that Monerex stays at the cutting edge of blockchain and financial technology, making complex systems accessible and efficient for our users. Nikita Shilenko’s journey into the realm of cryptocurrency began in 2017, a pivotal year when he recognized the transformative potential of blockchain technology—a force that promises to shape a new economy and a brighter future for all. Before his foray into the new economy, Nikita spent considerable time within the halls of one of Russia’s largest banks, gaining a solid foundation in finance from his education at the Moscow Banking College of the Central Bank of Russia. This background paved the way for his career in the financial sector.
The discovery of blockchain technology opened doors to a world of endless possibilities for Nikita. He managed the sale of mining facilities and actively contributed to the development of new blockchain protocols, immersing himself in every aspect of this dynamic field. Through these experiences, Nikita gained invaluable insights into the needs and aspirations driving the industry forward.
